The Best Boomerville Hotel - Cover Reveal

Today I am lucky enough to be able to participate in the cover reveal for The Best Bloomerville Hotel by Caroline James.

Let the shenanigans begin at the Boomerville hotel …

Jo Docherty and Hattie Contaldo have a vision – a holiday retreat in the heart of the Lake District exclusively for guests of ‘a certain age’ wishing to stimulate both mind and body with new creative experiences. One hotel refurbishment later and the Best Boomerville Hotel is open for business!

Perhaps not surprisingly Boomerville attracts more than it’s fair share of eccentric clientele: there’s fun loving Sir Henry Mulberry and his brother Hugo; Lucinda Brown, an impoverished artist with more ego than talent; Andy Mack, a charming Porsche-driving James Bond lookalike, as well as Kate Simmons, a woman who made her fortune from an internet dating agency but still hasn’t found ‘the One’ herself.

With such an array of colourful individuals there’s bound to be laughs aplenty, but could there be tears and heartbreak too and will the residents get more than they bargained for at Boomerville?

Caroline James has owned and run businesses encompassing all aspects of the hospitality industry, a subject that features in her novels. She is based in the UK but has a great fondness for travel and escapes whenever she can. A public speaker, consultant and food writer, Caroline is a member of the Romantic Novelist’s Association and writes articles and short stories and contributes to many publications
Her debut novel, Coffee, Tea, The Gypsy & Me is set in North West England, at the time of a famous gypsy horse fair.  The book went straight to number three on Amazon and was E-book of the Week in The Sun.
In her spare time, Caroline can be found trekking up a mountain or relaxing with her head in a book and hand in a box of chocolates.

Now how's that for a fab, fun cover.  Makes me want to grab the book, curl up with a cup of tea or hot chocolate, a blanket to keep the cold out, and of course the obligatory chocolate bar and lose myself in what sounds like a fun book.

Eye for an Eye (Jessica Daniel Book 12)

Eye for an Eye (Jessica Daniel series Book 12) by [Wilkinson, Kerry]

This is the next Jessica Daniel’s book (Book 12).  We catch up Jessica as she is told of the release of Damien Walker, who has been released from prison where he has served a sentence for abducting women 17 years ago.

He is released under a new identity back into the Manchester area, but Jessica is sent to investigate him after a woman is found dead, killed the same way that Walker used to kill people.

Jessica and DI Topper are tasked with investigating and have to keep their findings under wraps so as to not alert the public that Walker has been released and is back living in the Manchester area.

Jessica is also tasked with investigating an incident with rock star Blaine Bonner and Blaine contacts her at various times of the day and night with strange incidents that have taken place to him.

We are also taken back into the personal life of Jessica and how things are with her fiancé Adam and where things are up to with the missing Bex.

All in all, this is the usual Kerry Wilkinson book, a page turner and a gripping read.  I was hooked from the first page and loved how this book as per the other Jessica Daniel’s books are set in Manchester with vivid descriptions of the area and being someone who knows Manchester pretty well lets me understand where things are occurring.

My thanks go to Kerry Wilkinson for providing me with an ARC.  My review is my honest and unbiased opinion.

PS – Hurry up with Book 13!! 😊 😊
