This is the next Jessica Daniel’s
book (Book 12). We catch up Jessica as
she is told of the release of Damien Walker, who has been released from prison
where he has served a sentence for abducting women 17 years ago.
He is released under a new
identity back into the Manchester area, but Jessica is sent to investigate him
after a woman is found dead, killed the same way that Walker used to kill
people.
Jessica and DI Topper are tasked
with investigating and have to keep their findings under wraps so as to not
alert the public that Walker has been released and is back living in the
Manchester area.
Jessica is also tasked with
investigating an incident with rock star Blaine Bonner and Blaine contacts her
at various times of the day and night with strange incidents that have taken
place to him.
We are also taken back into the personal life
of Jessica and how things are with her fiancé Adam and where things are up to
with the missing Bex.
All in all, this is the usual
Kerry Wilkinson book, a page turner and a gripping read. I was hooked from the first page and loved
how this book as per the other Jessica Daniel’s books are set in Manchester
with vivid descriptions of the area and being someone who knows Manchester pretty
well lets me understand where things are occurring.
My thanks go to Kerry Wilkinson
for providing me with an ARC. My review
is my honest and unbiased opinion.
PS – Hurry up with Book 13!! 😊
